Originally from Italy and mama of 2, Francesca started her pilates journey after undergoing spinal surgery in 2017.
While her main drive for taking on pilates was initially more physical and therapeutical, the commitment that ensued from a regular practice and the results and wellbeing that resulted from getting to know her body and experimenting with movement, made pilates so much more than just physical exercise.
Focusing on breath as well as slow and controlled movement are some of the key components Francesca brings to her sessions. Mixed with the slow burn, you can also expect more upbeat sequences to spark some sweat and re-energise body and mind.
Francesca invites students to listen to their bodies and assists them in finding the best and more suitable way for them as individuals to experience and benefit from this practice. As we’re all different, there is no one-size-fits-all type of movement. Therefore, whether it’s a physical aspect, mental or both - that motivates a person to start practising, Francesca believes it can become a learning opportunity to be present, mindful and getting to know oneself.
